Dr. Bob Barrows
Dr. Bob Barrows is a graduate of both Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). After graduating from MUSC in 2003, he served in the US Navy as a dentist. During his time in the Navy, he was stationed at the Goose Creek Weapons Station and overseas in Guam.
When not performing dentistry at the Navy base, on his days off he would assist in the treatment of underprivileged children in rural areas of South Carolina that had limited access to dental care.
Upon completion of his naval service, Dr. Barrows entered private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2008. While it was a difficult decision to leave his North Carolina patients of 10 years, Dr. Barrows returned home to Charleston in 2018 to be able to raise his family on James Island, where his parents and extended family also live.
After the move, he took the opportunity to take a short break from dentistry to restore his family home, doing much of the work himself. Dr. Barrows became a partner at Charleston Family Dentistry in 2020.
He is very happy with his decision to come back home to Charleston and to join the established and trusted Charleston Family Dentistry team.
